The maximum operating temperature is 1830 degree (3330 degree F), and the element is suitablefor furnace temperatures between 1500-1750 degree (2730-3180 degree F) approximatelyThe special feature of Vsmile MOSI2 heating element is the growth of the oxide layer - the glaze - is much reduced, compared to other elements. A thin oxide layer results in a much improved lifetime, because the tensions arereduced between the base material and the surrounding oxide, depending on the different thermal expansioncoefficients. This is of great importance especially for elements of smaller dimensions used in cyclic conditions,where other elements may be damaged by "banding". The banding effect is when theelement shatters into smaller pieces during thermal cycling.
